Fear of something!

Standard

Every person has a fear…. fear of something! They fear that they might fail in whatever they want to achieve, they fear that the they might loose what they have right now.  Well I am not here to write about how to handle with fear or how to tackle it.  I just know one thing and I figured it out today that the only reason I was not working on my full capacity was because I was scared…  Everyone does get scared and I am not superman!

So for once in and for all I was scared of Mathematics but not anymore…. it’s time get cozzy with mathematics. And I truly believe that the moment I will think that I am good in mathematics… I will be a totally different person.  I did that with hiking. I never tried doing that before but this January I did and it was unbelievable. I promised myself that I would do that again.

Unfinished tasks

Standard

Unfinished tasks are one of the biggest hurdles in everyone’s life. You can’t even sleep if you know that you have some work left to do. They are like parasites… they will be sucking your blood slowly and continuously and you won’t even know it.  Therefore to kill this parasite once and for all I have decided to finish every single pending work before I sleep which may involve continuously working for more than 24 hours… i already have a Guinness record for coding more than 18 hours. This time it will be work.

So if you have any pending work / task / (or anything I said I will do.. which wasn’t able to do) this is the best time to remind me.  Email me, skype me, message me.

By the way, I take my sleep very seriously…

This blog will be updated frequently… ( almost every few hours)

Learn to Unlearn

Standard

The beginning of the new year was quite interesting for me.  Well, technically we surpassed the fear of 21/12/2012.  My birthday was a full of surprises too.  Well, this is enough of blah blah.. right!

New year taught me to unlearn many things.  It’s said that in order to learn something new you need to unlearn the stuff you already know about. For example in order to clean up my digestive system I had to drink a lot of salt water, it cleared every single food particle present in my body ( this is called Shank Paschalan). After that it was a fresh beginning….

Same logic applies in the field of studies… in order to learn a new language ( computer or spoken) you need to forget whatever presumptions you had and whatever tit bits you knew.. You need to start from zero buddy!

My ways of organizing myself never actually worked…oops! Therefore I have decided to use all sorts of technology available in this field.  And my experience and research led me to the world of Google products. Google has several tools which are more than perfect for me.  However the first thing I started doing is waking up early.. very early.

1. Google Calendar: It provides you with an interface which is very powerful and highly customizable. And the best part. You will get notifications on your cell phone too.

2. Google Drive: It is one of the major players in the field of cloud computing.  I recently upgraded my Google drive to 100 GB. The search feature in that is awesome.

enough of nerdy stuff. Here is the picture which marks the beginning of the New Year.

Days of the dragon

Standard

Dragon has been associated with a lot of negativity mostly because of the People Republic of China’s role in conflicts across Asia and around but there is an another side of it too. One of my Chinese ( Republic of China: Taiwan) friend and teacher Weng told me that in Chinese tradition a Dragon is a mighty creature and of course powerful but not in negative sense but in positive.

Now forget the dragons for a moment. ..lets talk about real world.  The last few months have been amazing. I have been working a lot… a lot. Well, if some one pays you to mess up with computers then it can’t be work.. it’s fun. Playing cricket is tougher.. Smile

Made some amazing new friends.

The coolest programmers I ever met, Benny ( centre) and the person who loves “Sev” and Olive oil more than the Queen of England, Peter ( right) By the way he is an excellent Yoga teacher with a great sense of humour ( very rare in Yoga teachers).

new friends

Now this is how I take pictures… no warnings, no cheese.nothing, And that’s why most of them are REAL. Meet my new friends. Kat ( Right) , one of the most cheerful Canadians I ever met. And by the way BEWARE she might see some empty space on your hands for some Henna Experiments.  Monica,( Centre) The first Colombian I ever met and you just need to ask for a smile and “the Sun rises”.  Preeti ( right) Damn, I forgot Dosa again…… Creativity speaks for herself.

And last but not the least, the newest member in my nerdy, Geeky family my Google nexus tab. Love you, Mom.

I believe in a simple concept, There is only one country called Earth and there is only one religion called Humanity. This simple thought makes it very easy for me to be friends with anyone. I don’t care about religion, country and gender. I just make friends…. I have friends all over the place, technically in all time zones but not for the sake of facebook ,but for the kind of person they are. for me friendship is holy and sacred.

I worked hard, studied a lot and  made a lot of friends, What else do you need to stay alive?? I guess, “DAYS OF THE DRAGON” just began. By the way, according to Chinese signs “I AM THE DRAGON”. Rolling on the floor laughing

Shameless self promotion

Standard

“Let the shameless self promotion begin” one of the most unique and genuine quotes I ever came across. This is by one of my NON FACEBOOK friends, Sarah Gormen. She is one of the most amazing brainstormers I ever met. Brilliant ideas and a lot of skills. Globetrotter, and of course a lady with genuine smile all the time.. – very rare!

With my 19 years of experience with computers and a lot of work experience too, I know very well that the stuff you see on Facebook, twitter, Google+ are mostly for publicity / promotion. And among this a lot of genuine people, feeds, news disappear.

You don’t believe me?? Ok. let me give you an example. The feeds you see on your facebook homepage depends on the time and the popularity of the post. For example your friend posted a very old picture of you and him together. But because your other friends posted something else with a lot of people tagged on it. and companies posted their own feeds. You missed to see that. Unless your friend tagged you, or you dig a lot deeper in facebook feeds.

This happens everywhere in Media, Google news, Twitter “Trends”. I don’t know where to find genuine people. Perhaps, there is no website left which boasts of genuine people and no publicity. It’s obvious no one would ever built anything which won’t be publicized.

But then again, let me give you a perfect example. “Google”. It’s a fact that Google never publicized it’s SEARCH ENGINE, never started any add campaign for “Google Search” . It was totally word of mouth.

What I think is, when you have a real killer product, something top notch or something unique. You don’t need publicity. Everyone else will publicize for you.

PS: You may want to exclude books, or stories or any other content from writers and Artists etc. Cause, a story isn’t worth anything if people don’t know about it. Bible is the most famous book in history. Because it is the most shared book in history.

Best Wishes and keep me posted haha 🙂

Perhaps via email or post cards ( If you wish).

When September Ends!

Standard

There is a phase in everyone’s life when everything seems perfect.  perhaps, I would regard September 2012 as one of the most eventful month in my life. I traveled a lot, worked hard and did a lot of things which I never thought of.  Also made a few new friends and missed several others. I had the best family time both in Mumbai and in Bangalore. My brothers and sister are super awesome.

Mahendra kumar's visit to mumbai

The coolest brothers and sister one can have.

One of the most memorable event of my life.

Sometimes it strikes my mind that do I really have a lot of friends or they are just a number on facebook or perhaps I am taking facebook rather very seriously. It grew to have a billion user now but I don’t now many of them actually are REAL FRIENDS to each other or just a number.

Well, I believe that it’s my job to remember my friends whatsoever, whether they remember me or not doesn’t matter. May be someday I will have 288 really close friend and one very very close friend.

India hidden inside India

Standard

I was just recovering from my trip to Mumbai when I got the confirmation from Microsoft, yeah THE MICROSOFT. The largest software company in the whole world. I submitted an idea for a windows 8 App which was selected for the largest App fest in the world. In fact Microsoft is attempting for a Guinness world  record. If successful I will also get a certificate for that too 🙂

Day 1: 10:30 am I left my home in Indore for Bhopal from where I had to catch a train to Bangalore. I have been to Bhopal before but not via a Car. I preferred trains more than anything else. But since the time didn’t allowed me to take to train I took a cab this time. And It turned out to be a great ride. The road was scenic and awesome. Newly constructed and well maintained. It took me around 4 hours to reach Bhopal. I had to wait for an hour so I decided to have Dhosa for lunch. And damn it was the most horrible dhosa I ever had.

Day 2: Traveling my train can be discomforting but when the train is one of the superfast zipping across countryside with very few stoppages it was more than I asked for. When I woke in the morning I was amazed to see the eastern ghats ( mountain range running through the eastern coastal side of India). I was reading a novel (Digital fortress by Dan Brown) but concentrating on the book was very difficult as the landscape was nectar for eyes.

Digital fortress review

Bangalore is an awesome city, last time I came here it wasn’t different from any other city but this time it was hard for me to decide whether I am in India or some other country flyovers every where. Green and clean, no wonder it’s called the garden city of India. For IT freaks it’s heaven as almost all major companies have office here. And the offices are not just good they are the best offices across the country.

Today, is Ganesh Chaturthi, the birthday of Lord Ganesha. I woke up by the chanting of mantras.. soothing! Planning to visit my friends. Lets see how the day goes! Hoping for the best.
Best wishes, may lord Ganesha brings you happiness and Luck.

The Yoga Writer

Standard

I have been thinking about joining Yoga classes for a long time now… I got to attend a few classes earlier. Officially my first Yoga class dates back to August 2011, I attended the class of Jiaranai Aroka. Then again in January 2012 my Aunt, Anna Christianne took my Yoga class and both of the classes were awesome…Open-mouthed smile  I slept like a baby..no strains, no sprains.. no muscle aches… nothing.

Now that was in the past…..

These days……

I have been writing contents of the website and blogs which require knowledge and Understanding of yoga however I managed it well as I got a lot of help from experts in this subject matter. I do have a large collection of e-books and other reference materials which I refer most of the time.

But recently I was commenting on a article which was related to Yoga and then my AmeriMama said that you can’t  analyse yoga articles TECHNICALLY, the real meaning is actually a lot deeper and different. And she was right about that. Therefore I thought that in order to write my articles in a better way and with more REALITY in it I need to experience everything myself. So here I am waking up early in the morning…. first studying computer subjects and then preparing for my Yoga Practice.

I attended a class yesterday…. It was awesome, I was guided by not one but several teachers each of them experts in their own way. I did SuryaNamaskar (Sun Salutation), Marjari Pose (Cat pose), Anulom Vilom, Trikonasana and several other Asanas.

The experience forced me to attend it again BUT………  it isn’t easy  Fingers crossed I do have a strain in my back hopefully it will be fine when I will practice regularly.

Wish me luck!
